Blackberries - Further InformationBampton is very well placed in mid-Devon, not far from the border with Somerset. We are 20 minutes from both road links (M5) and railway (Tiverton Parkway). Bampton is just on the edge of the Exmoor National Park and is within easy distance of both moorland and the sea. The Exe Valley runs close to the town. There is much to do and explore. The town of Bampton has great character, many of the buildings being made of the local stone - Bampton is mentioned in the Domesday Book, has the motte of a Norman Castle, and the church dates back to the 14th century. |
